Bring Your Own Brain! Celebrating Neurodiversity in STEM Careers is a live panel discussion focusing on the value of embracing and encouraging neurodiversity in the workplace, particularly in STEM fields, where innovative neurodivergent thinkers often excel, yet are underrepresented. The webinar will take place Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m.ET via Zoom.
Our panelists include four neurodivergent individuals in various stages of their careers. The conversation will focus on questions such as:
• What is neurodiversity?
• Why should neurodiversity be celebrated and encouraged in STEM fields?
• What barriers do highly qualified neurodivergent individuals, including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, auditory processing disorder, or Tourette’s syndrome face during and after the hiring process?
• How have workplaces changed with respect to neurodiversity, and what still needs to be addressed?
• What steps can educators and employers take to create a more inclusive, accessible, supportive environment for all employees?
